Low carb hot chocolate


  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar free crystal sweetner - erythritol, Monk fruit or pinch of pure stevia powder
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon sugar free chocolate chips (20g, 0.7 oz) or 90% chocolate
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon - optionnal
  • Serving suggestions
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa nibs or sugar free shaved chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon whipped coconut cream or heavy cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
    Low carb hot chocolate


  1. In a small saucepan, under medium heat, simmer unsweetened almond milk for 1-2 minutes.
  2. When the milk is hot, remove from heat, whisk in cocoa powder, sugar free sweetener, chocolate chips and cinnamon if used. 
  3. Serve immediately with whipped coconut cream or heavy cream on top and shaved chocolate (or cocoa nibs).
